Bennington Museum is so grateful for the anonymous grant that has supported the Concerts in the Courtyard season.
This grant allows us to cover our operating expenses, pay the musicians for their services, and keep this popular music series free to the public.
In the 2023 summer season we offered 15 free outdoor concerts (46 individual musicians) and brought over 1,000 people to our doorstep, some of whom had never been to the Museum before, and some of whom had attended for multiple years and make it a hallmark of their summer experience.
In 2024, Concerts in the Courtyard will run from June 7 through August 30th (13 performances). Concerts will take place outdoors from 5-7pm every summer Friday. The Museum will remain open on those days as well. In addition to the music, there will be free children’s activities, and food and beverages which may be purchased from the Avocado Pit.
In the event of rain, cancellation will be posted by 2pm on the Museum’s social media pages.
