Make a donation to the Greater Bennington Interfaith Council (GBICS)
Each year, Bennington Museum selects a local non-profit community organization to support through a non-perishable food and personal items drive. Donations are accepted throughout the Festival, November 26 through December 31. Children who bring a donation with them to Family Day will be admitted free!

GBICS sends a special request for the following items:

  • canned food items with pop-tops
  • canned tuna and canned chicken
  • salad dressing; condiments; cooking oil
  • dried fruits
  • holiday dinner items:  cranberry sauce, canned pie filling, boxed stuffing
  • toilet paper; facial tissue; paper towels
  • bar soap; body wash
  • laundry soap

Thank you for helping to support this important community resource!

Children’s Shopping Boutique

Sorry! All of our shopping appointments have been filled. Please come and enjoy the rest of the museum.

With the safety of all of our children, their families, and our volunteers and staff in mind, we are bringing back the Children’s Shopping Boutique with some added precautions. This year, we are requiring reservations for shopping timeslots. A limited number of children will be allowed in the shopping area at one time. Anyone inside the building is required to wear a mask covering the nose and the mouth at all times. To make a shopping reservation, click on the time choices below. If you will have more than one child shopping, please make a reservation for each child. Each shopper will be limited to 8 gift items.

Bake Sale, Hot Chocolate, and more…
Baked goods and hot chocolate for purchase by donation in the Courtyard. Proceeds help support next year’s Family Day!

Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus 1:00 – 3:00 PM
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the Grandma Moses Schoolhouse to visit with children and hear their Christmas wishes. Bring your camera for a sweet photo op.

Classroom Creations
This year 35 classrooms from 9 area schools are working to create art inspired by Snowflake Bentley. Each classroom received the same wooden snowflake as their base. Come see the creative ways they’ve been decorated! Will any two be the same? You can purchase a chance to win a Classroom Creation Snowflake! Tickets are just $1 each, and winners will be drawn on Monday December 20th.

Craft Activities
Join in the creative fun! Three snowflake-inspired craft activities will be offered at no additional charge.
