This announcement will feature information about the BRRI presented by Andy Mink, Director of the Smithsonian’s Rural Initiative as well as members of the local steering committee. Attached, please find a PDF invitation.
The Bennington Rural Renaissance Initiative is a collaboration among the Smithsonian Institution via the Smithsonian Rural Initiatives, the Bennington Museum, the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, the John G. McCullough Free Library, and the Bennington County Multicultural Community Center.
This multi-year partnership will include coordinated programming with a focus on expanding arts, culture, and nature access for all. The long-term goal of the BRRI is to demonstrate how a coordinated arts and culture sector can meaningfully and systemically respond to many of the challenges that face a rural community.
