In the 1780s the widow Margaret Krieger became the only person to be tried for witchcraft in Vermont. Her trial took place in nearby Pownal and is documented in this soon-to-be-released episode of New England Legends, the Emmy(R) nominated independent series available on Amazon Prime.
New England Legends is produced and directed by Tony Dunne who will share the short film and the story of Widow Krieger along with Joyce Held of the Pownal Historical Society and Jamie Franklin of Bennington Museum. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Tony, Joyce, and Jamie.
