The History of Pownal, Vermont
A Bennington Historical Society Presentation
Where is the oldest house in Vermont? What Pownal mill girl had her photo on a United States Stamp? Ray Rodrigues will answer these questions when he discusses the history of Pownal on September 19 at 2:00 PM in the Bennington Museum’s Ada Paresky Education Center. With Wendy Hopkins and Charlotte Comar, Rodrigues created the Arcadia photo book Images of America: Pownal. With Dawn Rodrigues, he edited and up-dated Joe Parks’ history of Pownal, Pownal—A Town’s Two Hundred Years and More.
This program will take place in person. A recording will be available for later viewing.
