From Studio to Streets, Vermont Arts Exchange –
30 Years of Community Engagement through the Arts
Experience the three decade+ journey of the Vermont Arts Exchange (VAE), through a visual exhibition, stories, video, live performance and interactive art making.
Matthew Perry, Executive Director of VAE says, “We are grateful to Bennington Museum for recognizing us and for the opportunity to honor and celebrate the past 30 years of our community arts work. Through this exhibit, we aim to show how art making can inspire and heal, and how being allowed full, creative expression can play a role in one’s future.” He continues, “The exhibit features highlights of VAE’s past projects in the community from the 1994 Paran Creek Project and Halloween Parades to the Basement Music Series. You’ll also be able to engage, make art, and share a memory. And, before you leave you can go work in the Art Bus out in the parking lot and add to the ongoing “Art Bus Gallery”.
From Studio to Streets will be on view in the Museum lobby gallery from April 1st through April 27th. The Museum invites the public to join the opening or closing events free of charge.
