Bennington Project Independence Show

April 1 – April 21

During the month of April, Bennington Museum is pleased to partner with Bennington Project Independence (BPI) to present a show featuring BPI member art projects. Some of the showcased artists have formal training, others display long practiced craft-skill, and some have decided to experiment with a new medium for the first time. Pieces include sketches, paintings, textile creations, and collages, and all exude a vibrant joie-de-vivre.

BPI on Harwood Hill in Bennington provides comprehensive, innovative and person-centered Adult Day Services for older persons, younger adults with disabilities and daytime respite for their family caregivers throughout Bennington County. BPI is proud to provide a creative and dynamic arts program for our members. Our Open Art Studio, is lead by our Registered Art Therapist, Kaye Shaddock. Kaye encourages personal expression and multi-media creativity regardless of ability or life challenges that members might face. The result is the pure joy in the creation of art as illustrated in this exhibition by our BPI members.

There will be a closing celebration and artist reception at Bennington Museum from 1-2pm on Friday April 19. This event is free and open to the public.
