Music is alive and well at Bennington Museum. We are pleased to begin the 2017 Music at the Museum concert series with the brilliant work of Beethoven, Allen Shawn, Lionel Nowak, and coming full circle, back again, wrapping the concert up with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata in C Major, Op. 102, No. 1. Sponsored by Alison Nowak and Robert Cane, all concerts are free. The first concert is on Sunday, February 26 at 2:00 pm in the Ada Paresky Education Center and Paul Paresky Court of the Bennington Museum. Admission to the galleries is not included.

Community Day, Celebrating Art and History - Join us for a day of Celebrating ART as you enjoy Gatherum of Quiddities: Paintings by Pat Adams; Holding the Line: Ceramic Sculpture by Stanley Rosen; Buy Local: Images from the Weichert-Isselhardt Collection, plus activities both inside the Museum and out on the George Aiken Wildflower Trail. So much to do for the whole family.

Music at the Museum presents this wonderful concert performed by the Counterpoint vocal Ensemble. Directed by Nathaniel G. Lew. Included in their performance will be Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream, Hold On, Our Wish This Year is Peace, Ring Like a Bell, Down by the Riverside, and many more. Come and celebrate the opening of Grandma Moses: American Modern. Join us for this mid-summer party when we will enjoy delicious picnic inspired dishes and drink, live music, cash bar, and a totally new way of seeing the work of Anna Mary Robertson "Grandma" Moses. On Saturday, July 8 from 10 am to 5 pm admission to the Bennington Museum is free for all visitors. Join us for a day of Celebrating Grandma Moses: American Modern. Activities throughout the day including special guests, film viewings, children's activities, and a fascinating look at the paintings of Moses side-by-side with works by such iconic modernists as Joseph Cornell, Helen Frankenthaler, and Andy Warhol to name a few.
