    This is the first exhibition to take a focused look at the work this prominent American modernist created based upon his summers spent in southern Vermont from the mid-1930s to the mid-1940s.

    Every First Friday is Pay-What-You-Wish after 5:00 p.m. This Friday we are celebrating ART with gallery talks in the Grandma Moses Gallery as well as a discussion with Karen Wilkin, Independent Critic and Scholar of American Modernism, and Curator at Bennington Museum, Jamie Franklin about Milton Avery and his work. Enjoy the wonderful exhibition, Milton Avery's Vermont and learn more about his style, inspiration, and life.

    Stoneware Collectors Meeting - Friday's lecture will take place at 4:00 pm at the Bennington Museum and will be a tribute to Dr. Steven Leder, who passed away suddenly this past Spring.

    Looking at the Civil War through textiles allows us to understand the experience of the war in different terms than the usual analysis of battle strategy and heralding of military heroes.
