“Vermont 1918” and other Short Films

During the first “First Friday” of 2016, join us as we present an award-winning short film that highlights the struggle of a Vermont home during the 1918 Spanish Influenza Pandemic. This short film was created by Shaynelle Francis of Bennington, At the recent film festival “Freedom and Unity Youth Film Competition,” Francis’ film won second place for the Vermont History Category. The film is 25 minutes long. The evening will be opened with five other award winning films created by students in the Southwest Vermont Career Development Center Video production class. Each of these is five minutes long. A Q&A with the filmmakers is planned. Held in the Ada Paresky Education Center of the Bennington Museum, this program is included in the “Pay What You Will” admission for First Fridays.
