Taxidermy in the Early 20th Century
September 12, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
| FreeTaxidermy in the Early 20th Century, a Zoom lecture with Michael Clough
Join Southern Vermont Natural History Museum Managing Director, Michael Clough, for a live Zoom tour of the Museum and a look at the historic Luman Nelson Wildlife Collection. It is the largest collection of mounted birds and mammals native to the northeast in the State, and the foundation of the Museum’s exhibits. We will look at the history of the exhibit, what it can tell us about the past and how it remains relevant today. Along the way viewers will be able to ask questions as we get a close look at some extinct species, rare albino specimens and maybe even an encounter with one of the Museum’s live animals!
