Summer Party – Grandma Moses: American Modern
July 7, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
By putting her paintings side-by-side with works by such iconic Modernists as Joseph Cornell, Helen Frankenthaler, Fernand Léger, and Andy Warhol, and folk artists such as Edward Hicks and Joseph Pickett, the exhibition allows visitors to discover for themselves how all these artists drew on found images, color, collage, memory, and their own innate artistic sensibility to create original masterpieces.
Come and celebrate the opening of Grandma Moses: American Modern. Join us for this mid-summer party when we will enjoy picnic inspired dishes and drink, live music, cash bar, and a totally new way of seeing the work of Anna Mary Robertson “Grandma” Moses. Reservations requested by calling Susan Strano at 802-447-1571 ext 204. $35 for Museum members/ $50 for not-yet-members.
