Stoneware Collectors Meeting –   Ada Paresky Education Center, 2nd floor of the Bennington Museum.  Free and open to the public.  The Fall 2016 Bennington Stoneware Collector’s event will take place on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24.  Friday’s lecture will take place at 4:00 pm at the Bennington Museum and will be a tribute to Dr. Steven Leder, who passed away suddenly this past Spring.  Steve was an avid stoneware collector who also co-authored “The Birds of Bennington”, one of the best books on Norton Stoneware with bird decorations.  Steve was scheduled to talk about his collection of stoneware pieces decorated with people and faces.  Steve German and Jack McMackin will give a PowerPoint presentation, highlighting Steve’s collection, along with personal anecdotes about Steve himself.
