Meet Me In the Courtyard

| FreeEvery Friday for the month of July (weather permitting), Bennington Museum invites you to join us in the courtyard to enjoy some informal music and a bite to eat.
FOOD
From 5pm to 8pm the Avocado Pit will set up shop in front of the Museum’s gates, serving delicious tacos. Food may be eaten anywhere on the grounds, and alcohol may be consumed within the gates and other designated areas.
Any visitor who purchases food from the Avocado Pit or who presents a receipt from any other Bennington restaurant may enter the Museum for 50% off the price of admission. The Museum is open until 8pm on Fridays.
MUSIC
From 6pm to 7pm Bennington Museum will host performers in the courtyard, free of charge. The public is encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs and to arrive early as the courtyard capacity will be limited to 25 total.

July 31, Bennington Traditional Jazz Band
With one foot planted firmly in the southern, dixieland tradition and the other in the Tin Pan Alley/ American Songbook, the BTJB presents a dynamic mix of hip, rhythmic complexity coupled with nostalgic, old-tyme melodies. Drawing from the best of both traditions, the BTJB features well-known local talent:
Bill Cottrell—soprano saxophone, trumpet
Woody Strobeck—trombone
Dave Banulis—guitar
Dave Cuite—bass
Jeff McRae—drums

*Please note, the Museum cannot currently pay performers, however, guest artists are allow to ask for tips and the Museum will record portions of a performance and post a donate link for the artists.

COVID Policies
MASKS:
All visitors ages 2 and older must wear face coverings when inside the Museum. Jane Stickle Quilt masks will be for sale in the gift shop if you forget to bring your own.
Masks are required in our courtyard unless you are eating.
TEMPERATURE:
When entering the Museum all visitors will have their temperature checked and those with a temperature of over 100 will be asked to return another day.
HAND SANITIZER: Hand sanitizing stations are being made available throughout the Museum as well as in front of the entrance doorway.
DISTANCING: Guests in unrelated parties must maintain 6 feet of distance between each other both inside and outside the Museum.
