BENNINGTON —

DISC GOLF

All our invited to try a new sport or show off prowess and meet the artists behind the North Bennington Outdoor Sculpture Show (NBOSS) at Bennington Museum.

There will be a disc golf tournament Sept. 21, with the first tee at 8 a.m. There will be a nine-hole putter course on the museum’s 10-acre campus among the outdoor sculptures. It is $15 to register, and free to watch. There will be food from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. by Corner of India.

To register, visit tinyurl.com/mr3nyvhh.

Disc golf is played much like traditional golf except, instead of a ball and clubs, players use special flying discs. The object of the game is completing each hole in the fewest strokes/throws as possible.

AND NBOSS AT THE MUSEUM

From 1 to 3, there will be a chance to meet and mingle with the NBOSS artists in the museum pavilion following the disc golf tournament, as well as a chance to enjoy music, hotdogs and more.

Museum grounds are open from dawn to dusk and are free to visit.

The North Bennington Outdoor Sculpture Show is the longest-running outdoor sculpture exhibition in Southern Vermont. The sculptures vary in size, shape and materials. Some invite reflection, while others offer whimsical commentary on the world. The show runs through Nov. 17. This year, the Better Bennington Corporation (BBC), the designated downtown organization, with support from the Town of Bennington, has collaborated with NBOSS to also bring captivating sculptures to Downtown Bennington.
