Love Bennington Museum
Back by Popular Demand – Tattoo 3
Back by popular demand, it’s Bennington Museum’s one-night-only, living exhibition of tattoo body art: Tattoo 3. Join us on Saturday, April 28 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm to see some of the area’s best tattoo art and meet some of the artists who create it. Talk with artists from Body Blend Studio, Shaftsbury and Raz-A-Tat Tattoo, Bennington. Traveling in from New York is Lucky Sinz Tattoo Parlour, Troy, NY and all the way from the eastern side of Vermont, Strange Brew Tattoo and Ink Dog, both from Brattleboro. See their work and discuss with them their art. Your chance to get a one-on-one about your next tattoo. Admission is “pay what you wish,” but if you contribute $5 or more, you receive a Love Bennington Museum temporary tattoo.
This exhibition features twelve live models showing their art and sharing their stories. Become inspired to take your new ideas to your favorite tattoo artist to be inked, or just enjoy the exhibition. Join us and Spill Your Ink: share your own tattoo story. Vote for your favorite single tattoo and your favorite overall model. The winners receive a gift certificate to the tattoo artist of their choice.
From 6:30 to 7:30 pm enjoy Psychic Sideshow offering strolling magic, mind readings, and character readings – sponsored in part by Body Blend Studio and Raz-A-Tat Tattoo. All galleries will be open so take the opportunity to wander Bennington Collects, in the Limric and Parmelee Galleries; Southern Vermont Healthcare: A Century of Caring in the Works on Paper Gallery; Enthusiasms: Personal Paintings by Jessica Park, in the Regional Artists Gallery; and the new installations in the Grandma Moses Gallery. Also on view is Early Vermont, opened in September, 2017. So much happening at the Bennington Museum.
