Bennington Museum Suspends Public Programs through April 30

As Bennington Museum closely monitors the current global health crisis involving the coronavirus (COVID-19), it announced today that it will cancel all public programs, group tours, and school programs from March 13 through April 30, 2020. The health and safety of its visitors, employees, and the community is of primary concern. The Museum is taking steps it believes are necessary to support public health initiatives to control the spread of this virus.

While the cancellation of the Museum’s programs may be disappointing to many, it is important to take measures that are in the best interest of public safety and trust that visitors will understand the actions of the Museum.  If you have purchased tickets for any upcoming events, refunds will be issued beginning immediately.

The Museum’s galleries remain open to visitors.  If you are well, you are encouraged to visit and seek refuge in the wonderful art and history that is present in Bennington Museum’s fourteen galleries. If you do visit, you are strongly encouraged to follow health measures outlined by the Centers for Disease Control which include the practice of social distancing in the galleries, and thorough handwashing and sanitizing (available at the Museum).  Implementation of additional health precautions including a rigorous daily cleaning protocol are in place at the Museum.  If you are ill or feel you might be ill, or are quarantined, visit us virtually through our website for a break in your day.
