Hands-on Experiences that Inspire Curiosity
Bennington Museum welcomes young learners. We offer a variety of opportunities at the Museum, in the classroom, and at home. We invite teachers, parents, and other caregivers to explore our resources. For more information about visiting the Museum with children, explore the following pages or contact education@benningtonmuseum.org
Bennington Museum’s school programs complement and support classroom instruction and the Common Core and Vermont Framework standards through close examination of primary sources – objects and art – and by creating engaging hands-on experiences. Our programs support teachers’ goals by sparking curiosity, promoting critical and creative thinking, and encouraging communication among peers. Programs can take place at the museum, through outreach, or with rentable materials for use at schools, libraries, summer camps, and for homeschool groups.
