A New Hudson Valley Pottery Discovered

A Forgotten History of the Pioneer Potters and Potteries of the Hudson River Valley, 1790-1810

George Lukacs of Poughkeepsie is a historian of early ceramics of the Hudson River Valley. He is author of the book, Poughkeepsie Potters and the Plague (2001).  George also wrote the article that appeared in Ceramics in America in 2005 entitled “A Pot of Butter for the Victims.” Presently he is researching the history and archaeology of a previously undocumented 18th century pottery in the Hudson River Valley.
